She was predeceased by : her siblings, Sally Haley and Bill Brownson. She is survived by : her husband Thomas Portanova; her children, Tony Grilli (Marie), Danielle Webster (Gary), Dawn Kassa (Ed), Beth Ballantyne (Joey), Erica Grilli and Tia Brennan; her stepchildren, Jenna Tomai (Thomas) and Christopher Portanova (Ashley Martin-Caruso); her grandchildren, Theo Lentz, Zak Kassa (Kaitlin), Tyler Ballantyne, John Grilli, Joe Ballantyne, Shea Brennan, Mary Grilli, Thomas Pescatore, Emma Brennan, Michael Grilli, Michael Pescatore, Riley Brennan and Christopher Ballantyne; and her stepgrandchildren, Caden Tomai, Thomas Tomai, Addison Portanova, Pepper and Ivan.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 12th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Shook-Farmer Funeral Home (45 Roseland Ave, Roseland, NJ 07068). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church (28 Livingston Ave, Roseland, NJ 07068). An entombment was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 at the Holy Cross Cemetery (340 Ridge Rd, North Arlington, NJ 07031).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, stjude.org.
