She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Curington McDowell; her husband Robert Patterson; her daughter Christine McDowell; and the mother of her child Mary Claiborne. She is survived by: her father Buford McDowell; her daughters, Jennifer, Gloria and Ashley Patterson; her grandsons, Daniel Patterson, Tyrone McDowell-Henry, Jr., Tahquan McDowell and Jeremiah Patterson; and her siblings, Priscilla Claiborne, Yvonne Grace, Steven McDowell and Jonathan Claiborne. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
