She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlotte Saunders Wise and Samuel Wise; and her aunts, Annabelle Yanga, Luellen Goodwin and Etta Shanks.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas Ray Mathis of Roselle; her sons, Antoine Mathis (Sonja) of Plainfield, NJ and Eric Mathis (Shahidah) of Union, NJ; and her grandchildren, Antoine Mathis II, Mia Mathis-Hopkins (Josh) and De'Janna Mathis.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (591 S Springfield Ave, Springfield, NJ 07081). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
