He was predeceased by: his father Arthur Schafer, Sr.; his brother Arthur Schafer, Jr.; and his pet Jack. He is survived by: his mother Catherine Ridgeway Schafer of Rosenhayn; his wife Cherie L. Schafer; his son Josh Schafer of Raleigh, NC; his sisters, Nancy Schafer of Rosenhayn and Bonnie Laurella of Rosenhayn; his mother-in-law Joann Ciccacci; and his pet Frankie Paul. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
