He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson R. Macan and Joanne P. Hare-Macan; his significant other Mimi; and his siblings, Jackie, Robert and Louis "Jeremy" Macan.
He is survived by: his sisters, Margaret Mary "Meg" Macan and Toni Macan-Rodriquez. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
