With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Peter Rettenberger of Rutherford, New Jersey, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Peter left this world on December 10, 2025 at the age of 61, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alois Rettenberger and Maria Kempf Rettenberger; his children, Jacob, Andrew, Hope and Stefanie; his former wife Nancy; and his pets, Angel and Bella.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Macagna-Diffily-Onorato Funeral Home (41 Ames Ave, Rutherford, NJ 07070). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Autism Awareness in his memory.
