He was predeceased by: his father Victor Joseph Favier; his former wife Maryann Favier (Rasmusen); his daughter Mary Elaine Favier; his wife Shirley James (Cross); and his brother David L. Favier.
He is survived by: his children, Dale Alan Favier (Martha) and David Favier (Caroline); and his stepsons, Brian James and Greg James (Brenda). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Memorial Donations: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the University of Oregon Museum of Natural and Cultural History, in support of its fossil, geology, and mineral collections, or to the Lane Community College Foundation to support science education—both causes reflecting Vic's lifelong passion for teaching and the natural world.
