He is survived by: his close friend Michelle McGaha; his children, Alex Mendez, Matthew Munyun, Lauren McGaha, Cheyenne Viereck and Heaven Mendez; and his siblings, Norma Boatwright, Rosa, Myra and Jose Mendez. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
