He was predeceased by: his wife Pauline; his grandson Matthew; and his brother Sam. He is survived by: his children, Joseph (Maria Carmela) and Charlotte Gale; his grandchild Skye Samse (Molly); and his great grandchildren, Bentley Walrath and Graham Samse.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rossi Funeral Home (1937 Westfield Ave, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 9:30 AM at the St. Bartholomew the Apostle Church (2032 Westfield Ave, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Fairview Cemetery (1100 E Broad St, Westfield, NJ 07090).
