Michael J. Parise Sr., born on August 2, 1942, passed away on September 10, 2026. Michael leaves behind family members and others who acknowledge this loss. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henrietta Parise and Michael A. Parise; his brother Martin Parise; his son-in-law Paul Ohnmeiss; his nephew Kevin Parise; and his grandson Colin Hatch.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances Parise; his brother Thomas Parise; his children, Michael J. Parise, Jr. (Michel), Joseph Parise (Amy), Mary Ohnmeiss and Lori Hatch (Gardner); his grandchildren, Sean (Jourdan), Sarah, Ashlyn, Megan (Alex), Lauren, Cailin, Joseph, Nicole, Emily (John), Gardner III, Ryan and Grace; and his great grandchildren, Harlyn and Adalyn. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended relatives, former students, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McCriskin Gustafson Home For Funerals (2425 Plainfield Ave, South Plainfield, NJ 07080). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Bernard of Clairvaux & St. Stanislaus Kostka Church (1235 George St, Plainfield, NJ 07060).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Mike's honor to the Congenital Heart Disease Coalition (https://chdcoalition.org) or to St. Bernard of Clairvaux & St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.
