Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his father James C. Hughes; and his brothers, Robert Hughes and Vincent DePaul. He is also survived by his three nieces, his Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins and with his many dear friends.
A reception will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Weatherhead Young Funeral Home (885 Mantoloking Rd, Brick, NJ 08723).
