She was predeceased by : her husband Paul Verdi, Sr.; her daughter Joann Piermatteo (Thomas); and her siblings, Joseph Ferraina, Sadie Campbell, Pearl Apa, Yolonda Scarantino, Thomas Scarantino and Anthony Ferraina.

She is survived by : her children, Kathleen Emeneo (Joseph), Paul Verdi, Jr. (Maria) and Maria Gargano (John); and her brother Salvatore Ferraina. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 late great grandchild.

“We will miss Marie terribly. We had the honor of doing Marie’s hair at advanced during her stay she was so much fun and full of life. To all of her family both that we have met and those we have not, It is rare to meet a person that within a minute of meeting her you are smiling and laughing. She was a ray of light and full of life. God bless her and may she reunite with her beloved husband and daughter she never stopped missing. God bless you Marie! Love you, Melissa and Erika”
