It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Kai Nielsen (Ship Bottom, New Jersey), who passed away on April 5, 2026, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Janice; his in-laws, Michael and Frances Bavaro; his brother George; and his brother-in-law Daniel Bavaro.

He is survived by: his father Alfred; his wife Michele; his sons, Kevin and Joseph; his siblings, Robert (Amanda), Alfred, Richard and Janice Hildreth (David); his siblings-in-law, Michelle Nielsen and Michael Bavaro (Donna); and his nieces and nephews, Nicole Tavares, Courtney Nielsen, Concetta Johnson, Chloe Bavaro, T. J. Loftus, Michael Bavaro and Daniel Bavaro.
