He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Phyllis Sowers; his children, Julie Grace, Michael Sowers and Mark Sowers, Jr.; his stepsons, Mark Dold (Cathy), Michael Dold and Matthew Dold; his grandchildren, David W. Sowers, Mark Sowers, III and Sarah Grace; and his siblings, Ted Sowers (Dawn), Judy Schmidt (George), Chet Sowers (Candace), Bert "Sonny" Potts (Paula), Robert Sowers and David Sowers. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
