We announce the death of Beverly Seely Bauer Briggs of Somerset, New Jersey, who passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 94. Beverly will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Kaye Bauer and Helen Stanton-Seely Bauer; and her sister Linda Havens Bauer. She is survived by: her husband Dr. David Griffith Briggs; her sons, David Stanton Briggs (Stephanie) of Belle Mead, NJ, Glenn Griffith Briggs of Perkasie, PA and Dr. Jonathan Havens Briggs (Michelle) of Beaufort, SC.; her grandchildren, Michael Briggs of San Diego, Kaitlyn Sparks (Briggs) of Lancaster, PA, Alexandra Bujakowski (Briggs) of Newport, Jonathan M. Briggs of Quantico, VA, Shaun, Natalia and Jackson Briggs of Beaufort, SC; and her nieces, Heather Richards and Heidi Cassidy Restucci.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Christ Episcopal Church (5 Paterson St, New Brunswick, NJ 08901).
