He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Haines and Carrie Haines Gasper; and his siblings, Larry Haines and Karen Bolden. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Haines; his sons, Eric Haines (Elizabeth) and Scott Haines; his grandchildren, Emily Kurek (Hunter), Evan Haines (Hallie) and Lily Haines; his brother Steve Gasper (Mollie); and his sister-in-law Dorothy Haines.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home (1985 W 9 Mile Rd, Pensacola, FL 32534). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in John's name to Emerald Coast Hospice at 5536 Stewart Street, Milton, FL 32570.
