It is with sadness that the passing of Ivan Symczyk (South Bound Brook, New Jersey) is shared. Ivan, born on June 23, 1953, passed away on October 11, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sister Sofia. He is survived by: his wife Bohdanna; his daughter Nadiya; his grandchildren, Yarema, Taras and Pavlo; his son Yuriy (Nataliya); his grandchildren, Victoria, Diana and Lev; and his siblings, Joseph and Anna. He is also survived by extended family and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Union Funeral Home – Lytwyn & (1600 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ 07083). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church (733 Sanford Ave, Newark, NJ 07106). A graveside service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the St. Andrew's Ukrainian Cemetery (281 Main St, South Bound Brook, NJ 08880).
