With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Don M. Venitelli of South Plainfield, New Jersey, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Venitelli and Lucia Venitelli; his son Joseph J. Venitelli, Sr.; and his grandson Ryan Ortleb. He is survived by: his wife Ann; his son David Venitelli (Karla) of Westwood, NJ; his grandchildren, Donna Ortleb (Randal) of Brick, NJ, Diane Popik (Jeff) of Watchung, NJ, Dr. Randi Gartner (John), Dr. Daniel Venitelli, Alexandra Venitelli, Shailyn Venitelli, Joseph J. Venitelli, Jr., Eryn Bella Venitelli, John Mutchko, Kaitlyn Mutchko and Kristy Mutchko; and his great grandchildren, Ryan, Connor and Kylee Gartner. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart RC Church (149 S Plainfield Ave, South Plainfield, NJ 07080). Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gustafson Home For Funerals (2425 Plainfield Ave, South Plainfield, NJ 07080). A burial was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Hillside Cemetery (1401 Woodland Ave, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076).
In lieu of flowers, the Venitelli family has requested that donations be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation (https://t2t.org), in Don's name.
