In the sacred silence of farewell, Thomas is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Thomas' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Durnya and Mary Ann Durnya (Pellegrino); and his in-laws, Guido and Mildred Abbruzzese. He is survived by: his wife Marian Durnya of South River; his children, Lisa Gray (Scott) of East Brunswick and Thomas Durnya Jr. of South River; his grandsons, David Durnya-Gray and Scott Gray Jr. of East Brunswick; and his brother Louis Durnya Jr. (Beth) of Alabama.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brunswick Memorial (454 Cranbury Rd, East Brunswick, NJ 08816). A prayer will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Corpus Christi RC Church (100 James St, South River, NJ 08882).
