We bid farewell to Dorothy W. Eckweiler (Sparta, New Jersey), born in Hawley, Pennsylvania, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 13, 2025 at the age of 89. Dorothy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Adeline Wuest (Benjamin) and Frank E. Wuest; and her brother Arthur. She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Eckweiler; her children, Carol Sherrier (William) and Bob Eckweiler (Mary Ann); and her grandchildren, Stephanie Rossi (Greg), Caitlin Sherrier, Brianna Marino (Paul), Robert Eckweiler and Kathryn Tiedemann (David).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Goble Funeral Home (22 Main St, Sparta Township, NJ 07871). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church (294 S Sparta Ave, Sparta Township, NJ 07871).
In keeping with her desire, it is requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Samaritan Inn in Newton, NJ by clicking either one of the links below.
