Eligia Montero Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eligia Montero of Sparta, New Jersey, who passed away on April 19, 2026, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Eligia is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Eligia's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Natalia Rigual and Manuel Caceres; and her husband Cruz Montero. She is survived by: her children, Waldemar, Radames, Sylvia, Elba and Miriam. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
