It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George C. Pittenger of Springfield, New Jersey, born in Irvington, New Jersey, who passed away on April 3, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his sister Judith Williams (Dan). He is survived by : his significant other Carolin; his grandchildren, Keri Sinoy (Reno), Christopher Buthmann (Bridgett), Emily Boland (Nick), George Pittenger, III and Gabrielle Nadel; his great grandchildren, Olivia and Luke; and his brothers, Edgar Pittenger (Carol Lou) and James Pittenger (Diane).

Visitation was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home (415 Morris Ave, Springfield, NJ 07081). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. James the Apostle Church (45 S Springfield Ave, Springfield, NJ 07081).
