Robert Deiter Jr. Obituary
On March 17, 2026, Robert B. Deiter, Jr., passed away at Virtua-Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Robert was born and raised in Pottsville, Pennsylvania to Robert B. Deiter, Sr. and Anna Florence Deiter. Robert was predeceased by his beloved son, Robert B. Deiter, III; his sister, Ruthann Walter and his brother, James Deiter. He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, MaryJane Deiter (nee McKay); his children, Christopher Sean Deiter of Illinois, Jennifer Annette Deiter, Pollyanne McKay Meserve and her husband, Mark Allen Meserve of Florida; his grandchildren, Catriona McKay Deiter and Brandon Robert Wagner; his sisters, Eleanor Wade and Annamae Meyer, his brother, Joseph Deiter and many nephews and nieces. He was also predeceased by his in laws, William Randall McKay and Janice Starr McKay.
Robert served in the Air Force in the Strategic Air Command from 1961 to 1965. After his Honorable Discharge, he then worked most of his life for FMC Corporation in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as a Database Analyst. After retiring from FMC Corporation, he worked at Target where he retired after 15 plus years. Robert was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all.
Robert and his wife lived in Stratford, New Jersey, for 40 years. They enjoyed taking many family day trips to such places as the Planetarium, whale watching as well as to the seashore. Robert and his granddaughter had a tradition of weekly trips to the store to buy doughnuts and the paper, and also enjoyed his grandchildren's practices and games.
Friends and relatives are invited to his viewing on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at the Healey Funeral Home located at 9 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights, New Jersey, where his memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m.
