Reverand Father Luciano Cruz Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Reverand Father Luciano Cruz of Succasunna, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 29, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Reverand farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Reverand is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramon Cruz Espinosa and Felicita Rosa of Cruz; and his brother Angel Luis Cruz Rosa. He is survived by: his siblings, Luz Maria Toledo, Ismaela Chrisman, Angelina Espinosa, Francisco Cruz Rosa and Michael Espinosa. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and countless godchildren.
A vigil service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Therese Roman Catholic Church (80 13th Ave, Paterson, NJ 07504). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (52 Totowa Rd, Totowa, NJ 07512).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Fr. Luciano Cruz name can be made to the Diocesan Retirement Community for Priests, Nazareth Village, 6 Meadow Lane, Chester, NJ 07930, A community Fr. Luciano lovingly called home from 2017 to 2025.
