He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Emily and Joseph J. Oakes, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Lynne Oakes; his children, Kelly Quinn (Sean), Joe Oakes IV (Ali), Kristin O'Brien (Pat) and Bill Oakes (Cate); his siblings, Mary Emily McCormick (Brian), Chuck Oakes (Robert), Michael Oakes (Jennifer) and Pat Oakes (Lori); and his grandchildren, Sean Quinn, Jr., Ryan Quinn, Maggie O'Brien, Evie Oakes, Morgan O'Brien, Colleen Quinn, Lily Oakes, Kevin O'Brien, Liam Oakes, Kylie O'Brien, Patrick Quinn, Joey Oakes V, Dylan Oakes, Quin Oakes and Kierstin Oakes. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, extended family.
