He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Lee; his children, Franklin Bradford Poarch (Cynthia) of Middletown, DE, Gwendolyn Lary of Brooklyn, NY and Glynice Coleman of Bear, DE; his grandchildren, Stephen Bradford Poarch, Jordan James Poarch, Chad Franklin Poarch, Alyssa Marie Poarch of Middletown, DE and Naima Lary of Brooklyn, NY; his great grandchild Alani Lary of Brooklyn, NY; his sisters, Katherine Massenburg (James), Ellen Robinson of Petersburg, VA and Blanche Taylor (Phillip) of Stony Creek; his siblings-in-law, Daisy Poarch of Sussex County, Rev. Ethel Poarch of Sussex County, Ann Poarch of Sussex County, Ruby Winfield of Maryland and Odis Bradford (Eva) of Ft. Washington, MD; his godchildren, Rev. Ronica Harris, Patrick Gaines, Kristie Jones and Edward Brown; and his caregivers, Anna, Rizelle, Olivia, Eugenia and Daniella. He is also survived by nieces and nephews he loved.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home and One. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Tabernacle Baptist Church (418 Halifax St, Petersburg, VA 23803).
