We are sad to announce that on January 12, 2020, at the age of 66, Giuseppe Demaio (Teaneck, New Jersey) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Giuseppe Demaio to pay them a last tribute.

He is survived by: his wife Theresa F.; his children, Gina R. MacDonald (Neil), Vincent J. and Joseph (Natalia); his mother Rosa Macri; his siblings, Marcantonio (Jackie), Rosaria (Domenico), Angelina (Antonio) and Giuseppina (Giuseppe); his siblings-in-law, John Fasanella (Mary) and Josephine Santora (Mark); and his grandchildren, Emma, Madeline and Luciana. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“A sad loss for anyone who knew Joe- what a great guy and a beam of light. I worked for Joe at Venetos when I was in high school, and it was such a pleasure to spend time with the De Maio family- Joe especially! Joe was such a generous and kind man- wonderful to work for. He treated everyone like family- I always thought of him as a “bonus grandpa” as mine lived all the way across the country. He had such a zest for life, I’ll never forget him. Rest In Peace.”

When we found out he grew up next to the home my father grew up in on Bagnara Calabria our bonds were instant.
