He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mauro Amato and Serafina Amato; his wife Cecilia; and his daughters, Monica Amato Centanni (Lawrence Centanni) and Valeria Amato (Benjamin Assa).

A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church (115 Fort Lee Rd, Bogota, NJ 07603).
