He was predeceased by: his parents, Sunny Williams and Eliza Frances Bright Williams; and his siblings, JB Williams, Lillie Mae Williams, Robert "Bubba" Williams, James "Bob Jack" Williams, Charlie Williams, Herbert Williams, Shelton Williams, Callie Williams and Marian Williams Crumpler.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Ruth; his sisters, Catherine Robinson of Dallas, TX, Ambree Spearman of Woodbridge, VA and Linda Carr of Clinton, NC; his sister-in-law Betsy McCloud of Brooklyn, NY.; his children, Walter Williams, Jr., Phyllis Williams Highsmith (Samuel), Sandra Williams Highsmith (Glen), Cynthia Williams and Cassandra Williams; and his grandchildren, Tawauna "Rooster" Harris (Dante), Lateese Williams, Tyisha Gaskin (Stephen), Moniqua Williams, Rachel Highsmith, Robyn Highsmith, Tre Walter Highsmith, Alexandra Highsmith and Sam Highsmith. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Community Baptist Church (224 1st St, Englewood, NJ 07631). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Williams Family Cemetery.
