R. L. Hennigan wrote a sympathy message

“I see Mr. Jago, a most formidable Man’s Man, reading at the lectern during Sunday Mass. Dressed in a neatly pressed suit and tie, his impeccable elocution made memorable by his Hudson County accent. Mr. Jago sponsored this fatherless boy to summer camp. He never mentioned it. I shied away from him because he was such a Good Man. I was a mischievous boy, embarrassed to be in his presence. Mr. Jago, you performed many Christian acts, seeking no recognition. Thank you! Heaven awaits you!”
