He was predeceased by: his mother Elizabeth Hamilton; and his brothers, Robert and Carlton. He is survived by: his wife Arlene; his children, Dave Jr., Tony Hamilton (Beth) of Toms River, Diane, Missy Drummond (Mike) of Denver, CO, Chris, Ted Hamilton (Meredith) of Toms River, Denise and Hootie Hamilton (Gary) of Toms River; and his grandchildren, Megan Merendino (Christopher), David Hamilton III, Christopher Hamilton, Jake Drummond and Emma Hamilton.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the American Legion (2025 Church Rd, Toms River, NJ 08753).
