Eugene S. Hodges Obituary
Eugene S. Hodges passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at the age of 72, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in West Caldwell, Gene moved to the shore area where he was a member of the Cedar Grove United Methodist Church for 31 years and trustee President for a number of those years.
Gene had a ready smile and laugh and made friends wherever he went.
He is survived by Colleen (Eaton), his wife of 46 years, two daughters; Cory and her husband Daniel Covell and Lindsay and her husband Master Sergeant Jason Romero, three grandchildren; Nolan and Aidan Covell and Liam Romero and his brother, Robert Hodges .
Gene will be remembered by a large number of in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. He will be fondly missed by all.
There will be a visitation on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 2-4PM & 7-9PM at the funeral home and Saturday 10:00AM-11:00AM with a funeral service from 11:00AM-11:15am. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
