He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodlyne Bowne and Anna Bowne (Stanhope). He is survived by: his wife Maryann Hall; his children, Gifford Bowne, Jr. (MaryAnn) of Jackson, Keith Bowne, Robin of Toms River, Gregory Bowne of Matawan, Debra McGrath (David) of Middletown, Gregory Hall (Elaine) of Middletown, Jeffrey Hall (Beth) of Beachwood and Kenton Hall (Shannon) of Beachwood; and his siblings, Edna Wilson, Anna Carhart and Wayne Bowne (Cheryl) of Keansburg. He is also survived by grandchildren and 6 adored great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Memorial donations may be made in Gifford's memory to the "First United Methodist Church, Keansburg, New Jersey.".
