Henry Richard Butow Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Henry Richard Butow of Toms River, New Jersey, who passed away on December 9, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry G. Butow and Agnes Butow; his brothers, Edward and Paul (Anne); and his siblings-in-law, Vincenza Butow, George, Mary Meidof, Robert, Katherine Bauman, Jack, Margaret Bowlby, James, Frances Walsh, David Hunt, Edwin Hunt and Donald Hunt.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Barbara Butow; his children, John E. Butow (Jennifer) and Nancy Bardsley (Len) of Manasquan; his grandchildren, Grace Butow Keefe (Peter), Allison Butow (Keegan Pindar), Katie Bardsley and Daniel Bardsley; his sisters-in-law, Veronica Hunt and Emilia Hunt; and his caregiver Allie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the O'Brien Funeral Home (2028 NJ-35, Wall Township, NJ 07719). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Peter Church (406 Forman Ave, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742).
