We are sad to announce that, on December 25, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Joan L. Hess of Toms River, New Jersey, born in Lakewood, New Jersey. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow W. Carpenter and Yolanda Cittadino Carpenter; and her granddaughters, Illeana Hess and Knicky. She is survived by: her husband George Hess; her children, Gregory Hess (Karen) of Toms River, Michael Hess (Susie) of Toms River, Jennifer Wright (John) of Virginia and Stephanie Fahey (Mark) of Tuckerton; and her siblings, Woodrow W. Carpenter Jr. of Seaside and Elaine Polikarpus of Toms River. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Saint Justin's St. Vincent de Paul Society or Birthright of Toms River.
