He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent and Virginia; his father-in-law Steve Denakis (Genevieve); and his brother Vincent Mennona, Jr. (Eileen). He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Mennona; his children, Steven Mennona (Janet), John Mennona (Rosemary) and Jennifer Mennona; his grandchildren, Steven (Brianna), Nicole (Paul), John (Amanda), Melanie, Amanda (Jake) and Jessica; and his great grandchildren, Christian, Noelle, Gabriella, Lily, Poppy and Macie. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home (100 Elton-Adelphia Rd, Freehold Township, NJ 07728). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Veronica (4215 US-9, Howell Township, NJ 07731). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the C. Doyle Nj Veterans Cemetery (350 Province Line Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
