She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Lawrence, Katherine Warnken, Robert and Eileen Mitchell; her uncles, Reverend Edward Warnken, Kenneth Warnken and Mike Flanagan; and her aunt Janice Mitchell.

She is survived by: her parents, Stephen Mitchell and Judith Warnken Mitchell; her brother Christopher Mitchell (Sarah); her nephew Mason Edward; her aunts and uncles, Kathryn Flanagan, Geri Green, Robert Mitchell, James Mitchell (Jane) and Diane LaForgia Mitchell; her cousins, Michael Flanagan (Jennifer), Brian Flanagan (Dalia), Jeanne Bergeron (Andy), Keri Donofrio (Matt), Kate Drummond (Jim), Kim Sansone (Tom), Andrew Mitchell (Suni), Bryan Mitchell and Danny Mitchell; and her pet Dixie Roux.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Pius X Catholic School (Coach Katelyn Mitchell Student Athlete Scholarship Fund), 2200 N. Elm St., Greensboro, NC 27408.
