He was predeceased by: his parents, George and Ann (McGovern); and his significant other Linda Thompson. He is survived by: his children, Parker Steelman and Madison Rumage of Arizona. He is also survived by his three brothers, 8 nieces/nephews, 7 grand nieces/nephews, and the hundreds of friends.
