It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Henry Veracierta of Toms River, New Jersey, born in Manhattan, New York, who passed away on September 27, 2025, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Veracierta and Concepcion Veracierta. He is survived by: his wife Christine; his daughters, Madison and Gabriela; his siblings, Elizabeth Veracierta (John), Debbie Saunders (Tony) and Robert Veracierta; his parents-in-law, Michele and Donald Rutter; his siblings' children, Michael, Lauren, Christopher, Zachary and David; and his siblings-in-law, Cathy and Jonathan. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the O'Brien Funeral Home-Brick (505 Burnt Tavern Rd, Brick Township, NJ 08724). A Mass will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's RC Church (685 Hooper Ave, Toms River, NJ 08753). Earlier in his career, he also coached wrestling at Toms River High School North and supported the wrestling programs at Toms River Intermediate East and Toms River High School South during the pandemic.
