He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Degnan and Dorothy Wharton; his daughter Yvonne Wharton; his sister Lorraine Coppola; and his parents-in-law, Stephanie Longo and Joseph Olenik.

He is survived by: his stepmother Joan Degnan; his wife Maureen Wharton; his daughters, Heather Sexton (William) and Natalie Wharton; his grandson Gabriel Wharton; his sister Dorothy Latham; his stepsisters, Sharon Bilski and Christine Degnan Ziegler; and his siblings-in-law, Michael and Fran Olenik. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
