He was predeceased by: his sister Barbara Creeden. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen M. Garrity of Totowa; his children, Emily E. Sowa (Sean Torres) of Secaucus and Christopher F. Sowa of Totowa; and his sister Yvonne Provost of Glen Ridge. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
