It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Mahometa of Totowa, New Jersey, born in Paterson, New Jersey, who passed away on October 17, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Mary Ann Mahometa of Totowa; his son Michael Mahometa (Lori) of Austin, TX.; his granddaughters, Evelyn and Gabrielle Mahometa; his brother Richard Mahometa (Gail) of Little Falls; his mother-in-law Julia Retkwa of Hawthorne; his brother-in-law Stephen Retkwa (Lori) of Hawthorne; his nephew Christopher Retkwa (Joanne) of Hawthorne; his niece Katherine Gibbons (Jayson) of Dumont; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Charlie, Kellyanne, Julianna and Haleigh.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to the John Theuer Cancer Center.
