He was predeceased by: his father Doroteo Aponte; and his sisters, Nilsa and Nancy Aponte. He is survived by: his mother Carmen Aponte; and his brother Jaime Aponte. He is also survived by five nephews, one niece, 15 great nephews and nieces, and three great-great nieces and nephew.
