He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene LeMatty and Charles LeMatty. He is survived by: his stepfather Al Arensman; his daughter Denise LeMatty; his grandsons, Christopher and Tyler LeMatty; his great grandchildren, Odaxis Gordon and Eloise Sophia LeMatty; his cousins, Milan Kubik, Gary Huska, Amy (Peter Norris), Marc, Debbie, Bob Slifer, Jeannie and Jerry Coviello; his wife Ruth LeMatty; his sons, Scott and Marc LeMatty; and his grandson Calvin LeMatty.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Galante Funeral Home-Union (2800 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083). A burial will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at the Hollywood Memorial Park (1500 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ 07083).
In lieu of flowers, the family is establishing the Gordon R. LeMatty Baseball Fund, to support future baseball athletes who share his love for the game and for life.
