He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Cathryn Lindsay Spangler of Washington, DC, Samuel Oliver Spangler of Bloomfield, NJ and William James Spangler of Astoria, NY; his son-in-law Aaron Rabinowitz; his grandson Ezra Nathaniel Rabinowitz of Washington, DC; his sister Elizabeth Spangler DeVine of Columbus, OH.; his parents, David Spangler and Geneva Arms Spangler; and also Rena Spangler (Smolski).
