Jose will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. He was predeceased by: his parents, Modesto Espiritu and Natividad Sanchez; and his sister Irenea Espiritu Llamanzares. He is survived by: his wife Petronila San Diego Espiritu; his son Ronald Espiritu; his daughter-in-law Mary Joyce Retizos; his granddaughter Noelle J Retizos Espiritu; his daughter Michelle Espiritu Soto; his son-in-law Jeffrey Soto; and his siblings, Fredesminda Espiritu Guevarra and Criste Espiritu. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McCracken Funeral Home (1500 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church (971 Suburban Rd, Union, NJ 07083).
