He is survived by: his wife Wanda; his caregiver Wanda; his children, Kara, Joe, John and Kristin; his children-in-law, Rich, April, Karen and Jon; and his grandchildren, William, Kylie, Bryce, Aiden, Eila and Nathan.

Joe was a grateful recipient of a kidney transplant 24 years ago, therefore, in lieu of flowers donations can be made in his honor to The Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center designated for kidney transplant division.
