She was predeceased by: her husband Charles; and her parents, Francis Mangiapane and Jenny Mangiapane. She is survived by: her children, Maria Veglia (Gerard), Vincent Buttiglieri (Ray Jean) and Joanne Ghiretti (Robert); her grandsons, Gerard (Michelle), Robert (Jenna), Alex (Joyah), Matthew and Nick (Emily); and her great grandchildren, Clare, Connor, Aubrey and Kylie. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
A funeral Mass was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church (971 Suburban Rd, Union, NJ 07083). A committal service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Holy Name Cemetery (823 West Side Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07306).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital or the IIMC Foundation, c/o Colleen Nicol, 5919 Maybrook Circle, Riverside, CA 92506 in Josephine's memory.
