Maria L. Pires Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maria L. Pires (Union, New Jersey), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Maria leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ricardo Saraiva Troviscal and Alzira Henriques De Melo; her husband Nelson Pires Duarte; and her siblings, Natalia and Raul.
She is survived by: her children, Jhonny Duarte and Monica Duarte Joseph; her son-in-law Damian Joseph; and her grandson Carter Joseph.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Galante Funeral Home-Union (2800 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083). A Mass will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Christ the King Church (411 Rutgers Ave, Hillside, NJ 07205).
