He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen O'Connor (Edward "Mickey") and Robert Pynckels; and his siblings, Tim, Michael O'Connor and Suzanne Patak.

He is survived by: his siblings, Barbara Saul (Manfred), Deborah Kuntz (Jerry) and Wayne Pynckels (Carolyn). He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews.
